Make your Wix site visible in AI search
Wix now handles a lot for you — including an automatically generated llms.txt on eligible sites. The gaps are usually AI crawlers blocked in robots.txt, thin page text and missing business details. Audit yours in under a minute.
Free · live crawl · includes a generated llms.txt
What Wix gets right
- Wix generates and maintains an llms.txt for premium sites with a connected domain and indexing on.
- A built-in robots.txt editor and automatic sitemap.
- Structured data presets for business, products and blog posts.
Where Wix sites lose AI visibility
AI crawlers blocked in robots.txt
Rules copied from 'block AI' tutorials often disallow GPTBot or ChatGPT-User site-wide, which also keeps you out of ChatGPT Search answers. Check the live file.
llms.txt switched off or stale
The generated llms.txt needs a premium plan, a connected domain and indexing enabled. Once you edit it by hand, it stops updating automatically.
Content inside interactive widgets
Text loaded inside some apps, tabs or lightboxes may not be in the initial HTML. Keep key facts — prices, hours, services — in regular page text.
Incomplete business details
Answer engines rely on clear entity information. Fill in your business info and make sure name, address and contact details match across pages.
Real data · measured October 2026
wix.com itself scores 84/100 B
4 of 4 core AI crawlers allowed · publishes an llms.txt · median across the 102 sites we measured is 77. Your Wix site starts from the same platform, but your settings and content decide the score.
Step by step
Make Wix AI-ready
- 1
Allow AI crawlers
Go to SEO & GEO in your site dashboard → Tools and settings → Robots.txt Editor → View file. Remove any blanket disallow rules for AI crawlers and add explicit allow groups, then save.
Robots.txt Editor (add)User-agent: GPTBot Allow: / User-agent: OAI-SearchBot Allow: / User-agent: ChatGPT-User Allow: / User-agent: PerplexityBot Allow: / User-agent: ClaudeBot Allow: / User-agent: Claude-SearchBot Allow: / User-agent: Google-Extended Allow: /
- 2
Check your llms.txt
In SEO & GEO → Tools and settings → Go to llms.txt, make sure it isn't opted out and view the file. Compare it with the llms.txt LLMready generates — if yours misses key pages, edit the file and paste in the better sections.
- 3
Strengthen key page text
Run the audit and open the extractability and citation sections. Add a short factual intro, a clear H1 and question-style headings on your most important pages.
- 4
Add Organization structured data
Use the SEO settings for your homepage to add structured data markup, and paste Organization JSON-LD with your logo and social profiles.
Structured data markup{ "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Organization", "name": "Your business", "url": "https://yoursite.com", "logo": "https://yoursite.com/logo.png", "sameAs": ["https://www.instagram.com/yourbusiness"] }
