Get your Framer site into AI search answers
Framer pre-renders every page to HTML and can even serve Markdown to AI tools. What usually holds Framer sites back is thin metadata, missing structured data and no llms.txt. Find out in under a minute.

What Framer gets right
- Pages are pre-rendered on the server, so AI crawlers get the full text without running JavaScript.
- Framer generates robots.txt and sitemap.xml for every published site.
- Pages are also available as Markdown to AI tools that request it.
Where Framer sites lose AI visibility
Default page titles and descriptions
Pages and CMS items left with template titles give answer engines nothing to distinguish them. Set a unique title and description per page and bind CMS SEO fields.
No JSON-LD
Framer doesn't add Organization or Article schema automatically. Add it in Site settings → custom code.
Static files need a paid plan
Uploading llms.txt or a custom robots.txt uses static file hosting, which is on Pro and higher. Without it you're limited to Framer's default robots.txt.
Text baked into images
Headlines and feature lists exported as images look great but can't be read or quoted. Keep important copy as real text.
Real data · measured October 2026
framer.com itself scores 83/100 B
4 of 4 core AI crawlers allowed · publishes an llms.txt · median across the 102 sites we measured is 77. Your Framer site starts from the same platform, but your settings and content decide the score.
Step by step
Make Framer AI-ready
- 1
Generate your llms.txt
Run the audit above. LLMready reads your Framer sitemap and writes llms.txt and llms-full.txt with sections for your pages and CMS content.
- 2
Upload it as a static file
In the Framer dashboard open Site settings → Hosting → Files, add llms.txt with the path set to /, then publish. It's served at yourdomain.com/llms.txt.
Site settings → Hosting → FilesFile: llms.txt Path: /
- 3
Replace robots.txt if you need explicit AI rules
Uploading a robots.txt the same way replaces the generated one. Keep your sitemap line and add explicit groups for the AI crawlers you want.
robots.txt (static file, path /)User-agent: * Allow: / User-agent: GPTBot Allow: / User-agent: OAI-SearchBot Allow: / User-agent: ChatGPT-User Allow: / User-agent: PerplexityBot Allow: / User-agent: ClaudeBot Allow: / User-agent: Claude-SearchBot Allow: / User-agent: Google-Extended Allow: / Sitemap: https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml

Add Organization JSON-LD
Paste this into Site settings → General → Custom code, in the end of <head> slot, then publish.
Custom code → <head><script type="application/ld+json"> { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Organization", "name": "Your company", "url": "https://yoursite.com", "logo": "https://yoursite.com/logo.png", "sameAs": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/yourcompany"] } </script>
